Leisure time at the Fischerhof

Fun and action the whole day round! Having eight lovely grandchildren ouselves, we extend a particularly warm welcome to families. Your children will enjoy staying with us! Watching chicken hatching or feeding sheep or goats - memories your children won't easily forget!

Barbecue - You are free to make a barbecue in our garden at any time. Sometimes we also organise pleasant barbecue get-togethers for our guests, that's fun!

A trip to the alpine pasture - On the Mendola mountain, the local mountain of S. Paolo, we own a little alpine pasture with an oh-so lovely barbecue corner. Just ask the farmer “Heindl” if he takes you on a trip to this alp. Of course he will be pleased and glad to show you this lovely place.

Our cellar - the pleasant parties in our cellar, including home-grown wines and assorted cold cuts have meanwhile become an insiders' tip. Of course we will keep this tradition alive and also this year we will keep celebrating with our guests. It does not matter if these celebrations sometimes become really hilarious, as the walls are solid!

Harvest - Many of our guests come to visit us in the harvest season and they also help us picking, which is an unforgettable experience and a welcome change to city life and daily routine. Anyhow you will enjoy spending this period of time with us in S. Paolo, as this is also the time when there are the so called "Törggele" evenings in the cellars. This is a typical tradition, that is to say an evening in which you enjoy local dishes and the sweet wine called "Sußer", as well as roasted chestnuts are tasted.

Hiking and cycling - Appiano is surrounded by hills and mountains and is located close to two bathing lakes. If you are not yet familiar with the surroundings, we are pleased to give you advice in planning day trips. Of course you can also borrow our books with hiking tours from our breakfast room. However, in our family we have our private pro cyclists, who are glad to recommend you different bike tours.
